“Both bands and their label are keen to stress that this is not a split release. Instead, it's a meeting of the twisted minds of two sludge acts currently at the top of their game.” — The Quietus

“Providence-to-Portland duo the Body's second of two collaborations with New Orleans’ Thou is a match made of mania and menace. During the last decade, both of these doom metal squads have issued records at startling clips, and You, Whom I Have Always Hated is a remarkably cohesive and singular album.” — Pitchfork

“You, Whom I Have Always Hated is a suitably heavy album, a skillful collaboration, and a fine addition to Thou & They Body's onslaught of material.” — Sputnik Music
